Johanna Salem

Johanna Salem is a sustainability strategist and civil engineer with over a decade of experience working at the intersection of climate, infrastructure and business strategy across the Middle East.

As Group Head of Sustainability at Albatha, a diversified UAE family business group and parent company of AGMC, she works to integrate sustainability into corporate strategy, investment decisions and business operations across sectors, including automotive.

Previously, at Dubai Holding, Johanna was involved in sustainability considerations for real estate and infrastructure development, including the planning and integration of electric vehicle charging infrastructure within the built environment.

With a background spanning EY, Oliver Wyman and Dubai Holding, and a Civil Engineering degree from McGill University, she brings a systems-level perspective to the EV transition, connecting mobility, infrastructure readiness, energy systems and the commercial realities of adoption.
