Akash Gupta

Born in Jaipur, Akash Gupta grew up in a city of old-world charm and entrepreneurial spirit. His father, Dr. Suresh Gupta, is a medical doctor, and his mother, Veena Gupta, is a homemaker. He attended St. Xavier's School, Jaipur, where the rigour of a Jesuit education instilled in him a work ethic and curiosity that would define everything that followed. He always dreamed of building his own business, and Jaipur, a city that has quietly produced some of India's most tenacious first-generation entrepreneurs, gave him both the hunger and the humility to one day do it. Akash Gupta is the Co-Founder & CEO of Zypp Electric, India’s largest EV-Rental platform for last-mile delivery, built with the mission of enabling zero-emission urban logistics and more liveable Indian cities. Founded in 2017, Zypp Electric operates at the intersection of electric mobility, climate-tech, and logistics, providing electric two-wheelers on a rental and swapping-based model for delivery partners across e-commerce, food, grocery, and hyperlocal segments. Under Akash’s leadership, Zypp has grown into a large-scale, asset-light platform with 25,000+ EVs and delivery pilots, powered by IoT- and AI-enabled fleet intelligence and a growing battery-swapping network. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and a PGDBM from IMT Ghaziabad (2008). He gained executive experience at MobiKwik (VP Marketing), Snapdeal (mobile acquisitions lead, driving 5X app growth), Dell, and Bharti Airtel (4G launch). These roles honed his skills in marketing, scaling tech businesses, and customer acquisition before co-founding Zypp Electric in 2017.
